Tigertail Beach
Tigertail is a natural bird sanctuary: Visitors standing on Tigertail beach can see the beautiful Sand Dollar Island. This area is a nesting ground for many birds, some that are threatened species. Visitors may see Herons, Egrets, Ibis and many kinds of Terns, Sandpipers, Plovers and Gulls. Tigertail is a large county beach and park with over 200 parking spaces, restrooms, concession stands, and free tours given by the Park Rangers at 8:30am daily.
South Beach
Public parking lot with 35 spaces for visitors and 35 for residents on Swallow Ave. in Gene Sarazen Park and with access directly across the street north of the Apollo condominium on S. Collier Blvd. Inside the Apollo is the Sunset Grill – a restaurant and bar easily accessible from the beach. Close to water sports rentals.
Mackle Community Park
Facilities include: Community center, covered basketball courts, volleyball courts, shuffleboard courts, tot lot, exercise/jogging trail, open play area and picnic area around lake. Also available is a spray park and "Kid's Cove", a unique playground that also has a kid's climbing wall.
Caxambas Park
Facilities include: Play area, picnic area, concessions, two lane boat ramp, bait, fuel, docking.
