Marie and Tony Brock hailed from upstate NY where they owned Shady Harbor  Marina on the Hudson River in New Baltimore.

In 1995 they built and operated The Boat House Restaurant at Shady Harbor.

In 2006, Marie and Tony retired to Marco island, where they have been "snowbirds" since 1987.  With a couple of years of rest, boating, travelling, hosting dinner parties, etc. they found that retirment wasn't for them.  The wheels started spinning and the search was on for another restaurant.  As soon as they stumbled upon The Lakeside Inn, saw the vacant restaurant and Marco Lake they were hooked.  So, on December 1, 2008, (the day the government announced that the US was indeed in a recession), they signed a lease.  Casa Mia Italian Steakhouse was born.  

They felt that Marco Island was in need of a casual  Italian restaurant and steakhouse where one could come, enjoy the view of Marco Lake, eat at a fair price and feel like family. 

Tony is at the grill, cooking the steaks to perfection, Marie is home baking fresh desserts daily, their neice Cindy is behind the bar and the staff is friendly and aiming to please.  Behind the scenes, Charlie the Executive Chef is making sure all of the dishes go out of the kitchen, prepared to satisfy every patron.  His sauces are authentic, his dishes are original and he is sure to have "specials" everyday. 

Tony and Marie visited the Amalfi Coast in Italy and discovered a dish that has become Casa Mia's signature dish.  It is a Five Pasta Plate, featuring five different pastas of different consistancies and five original sauces, a sure pleaser for every palate.
